The Blood Sacrifice....

As you are probably aware by now, we live and walk a very enchanted path. I am what is known as an Energy weaver, i'll let you do the research if your not to familiar with that term, but bascially we follow the law of the univerise. Now and then the Goddess will call for a sacrifice and we all know when we are putting your heart and soul into something you love, there is and will always be, blood, sweat and tears. So while i was putting up the sound deadening, which is a material van lifers put up inside the van on any of the exposed metal to narrow down the noise and make it a little more sound proof, she put in her demand!. The sheets have this sticky black glue on the back and on the front is a silver metal type material. In fact according to Google it is a foil backed vibration damper, and when you cut this sheet the edges become sharp, as i was to find out a few times while rubbing my hands across the surface once i had rolled it onto the van walls and ceiling.. Yeah i can hear you now, don't rub your hands across sharp material, yep my Steve said that a few times as well, but hey when your in the moment, your in the moment, and plus theres a Goddess to appease!!!!

The deadening was complete, so it was time to put up the insulation, this is so the van stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, we know how tin cans can get extremely and dangerously hot in the summer  and both Steve and I do not cope well in the heat!... Once that was complete the flooring was done.  The floor was cleaned and treated for any rust bits, but Luna is wearing well and so that job didn't really take that long to do. A few places had to be sanded down and then it was time to put down the insulation. Steve has worked on many a work site in the past so he knew what he was going to use, theres often a trend on the vanlife social media platforms and everyone jumps straight onto them no matter what the cost or enviromental impact. So we went with what any householder would put on their floor before putting down their own flooring, cause if it works in a house its certaintly going to do the same thing in a van!.....

We used a recycled insulation that is made from plastic bottles and is fairly priced at any DIY store. This was fun, shoving it into any hole we could find and then fixing it onto the walls and ceiling, ready for the next stage which was putting in the electrical cables and then the vapour barrier would be put up!.....

So the floor was laid and luckily for us our next door neighbours had just recently fitted some lino in their kitchen and had a load left over so they kindly gifted it to us, it was grey but it did the job of covering up the flooring so that we could at least make it look a little more like a home when we went away on our next adventure at the weekend....

The Next Chapter!...

Well hello there!. I guess you are wondering where we have been for almost a year!. Well lets be honest, i have completely negleted this sid...
